Job Description

Reporting to the Client Services Director, the Account Manager is responsible for understanding client needs and proposing innovative multi-channel medical communications solutions as well as proactively managing and delivering projects to achieve the client's objectives and to surpass their expectations. Based upon a strong understanding of clients’ needs and the market, the Account Manager will also contribute to the overall MedComms business growth.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Manage day-to-day delivery of medical communications projects, planning and monitoring project activity
  • Ensure that projects are delivered to brief, time and budget and all quality control procedures are followed
  • Accurately track project revenue and ensure financial targets are met
  • Manage the logistics and client liaison requirements of onsite meetings
  • Develop effective working relationships with internal team members to deliver best in class client service
  • Build strong relationships with clients and maintain a strong understanding of their brand portfolios and needs to provide tailored and insightful advice on MedComms solutions
  • Together with fellow members of a key account team contribute to the strategic planning and growth of key accounts
  • Proactively propose new ideas and solutions that contribute to business development and growth of accounts
  • Participate/lead the pitch process and contribute to proposals and new ideas

Key requirements

  • At least three years in a client servicing or project management role
  • A life science degree preferred
  • Previous experience in a healthcare agency highly desired
