Job Description

The Medical and Society Liaison is responsible for establishing and maintaining cordial, mutually beneficial working relationships with Key External Experts (KEEs) and Society Partners (SPs) aimed at fostering scientific/educational collaboration – this leads to a positive perception of MIMS among these stakeholders (ie, building the MIMS brand) and opportunities for revenue growth.
Key responsibilities
1.Society engagement
  • Working with the Director, Regional Medical & Society Engagement, assists in the identification of key healthcare professional (HCP) societies/organizations for engagement/re-engagement and in planning approaches to engagement
  • Organizes meetings with SP representatives and facilitates/participates in these meetings as necessary
  • Working with MPF/Country colleagues, liaises with the relevant statutory/national level organizations that oversee continuing medical education (CME)/continuing professional development (CPD) in the respective countries to facilitate CME/CPD accreditation of MIMS Education e-learning modules
  • Develops reports and other documentation relevant to SP meetings and activities
  • Manages SP feedback, including ensuring transmission to the concerned Business Unit team/Country team/colleague and assessing if feedback was adequately addressed
  • Contributes to development and growth of the MPF Business Unit through generation of new product and partnership ideas/proposals and securing SP participation and collaboration
2. KEE engagement
  • Working with the Director, Regional Medical & Society Engagement, fosters cordial relationships with KEEs via optimally conducted meetings and ongoing correspondence
  • Coordinates the involvement of KEEs in MIMS projects and solutions across Business Units/Countries
  • Manages KEE feedback, including ensuring transmission to the concerned Business Unit team/Country team/colleague and assessing if feedback was adequately addressed
3. Maintenance of KEE/SP engagement ecosystem
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of MIMS’s online KEE/SP database & relationship management system
  • Liaises with MIMS colleagues across Business Units/Countries who are designated ‘owners’ of specific KEE/SP relationships to ensure alignment of communication and engagement outcomes
  • Develops reports and other documentation relevant to the KEE/SP engagement ecosystem
Job requirements
  • Graduate degree in the healthcare sciences (MD, MBBS, PharmD, BSc in nursing or allied profession)
  • At least 3 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a healthcare communications agency
  • Previous experience in working with HCP societies a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Highly organized and efficient with a keen eye for detail
